Spreadsheet functions and filters

SPREADSHEETS FUNCTIONS

You need to put in the symbol of play that you want to analyze. Additionally, you can put here, for example, the player's number, effect, 

• VSCOUNT - gives # of plays fitting the search
• VSPER - returns a percentage of plays with particular effect in all plays fitting search 
• VSEFF - returns the efficiency of plays fitting search

II. AUTOMATIZATION

• VSCELL - you can use this function to automatize these functions.

• VSOR is the logic function where any of the given conditions must be fulfilled.
• VSAND is the logic function where all given conditions must be fulfilled.

• VSPLAYER - it returns the player's number. You need to put the number of the player from the team with the letter "i" in parenthesis.
• VSPLAYERNAME - returns the player's name. You can use it with the VSPLAYER function.
• VSTEAMNAME - returns the name of the team. You have to put the home or away team symbol in parenthesis.

 V. Court functions

• VSPLAYS – this function is similar to VSCOU, and in play by play analysis, it’s the data source for our play sequences.
• VSRANGE – you can limit the sequence length by using VSRANGE
• VSMAP – Limiting play code to only desired values is done using VSMAP

SPREADSHEETS FILTERS

You can add filters after the semicolon. You can use many filters in one formula.

I. Surrounding play filters - https://volleystation.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/103000030751-filtering-plays-based-on-other-plays

• B filter - filters by "ball possession"
• P filter - filters by "play"
• R filter - filters by "rally"

After "-" we add the number of how many ball possessions, plays, or rallies you want to go back.

II. Player filters

• PC - player on the court - filters by actions during which the particular player was on the court - https://volleystation.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/103000030026-player-on-court-filter
