This spreadsheet can be used as a preparation sheet, as a sheet used during the game on the bench, and as a summary sheet after a game or season.
How to use it?
It can be filtered by setter, setting zone, and setter calls. In the first sheet, there are attack numbers for each rotation in side-out. The second sheet contains the data after the positive reception, the third one - after R!, and the fourth one - after the negative reception. The last sheet gives information about attacks in transition.
In each table, you can find hitting efficiency, percentage of kills, errors, and blocked attacks. There is also a number of attempts for each player. Each of them regards a particular rotation. In this example, we can see that most of the balls in rotation 5 were hit by player #8, who also had one of the highest percentages of kills. The most efficient player was #19. He also didn’t make any mistakes.
Important Formulas in this spreadsheet:
=ROUND(VSEFF(VSAND(VSCELL("(1)A;*Z1",$A$9),VSCELL("(1)E(2)(3);B-0",$E$3,$F$3,$G$3),"*R;B-0")),3)
This formula gives the efficiency of the attack after reception of the player from cell A9, in rotation 1, while the ball was set by the setter from cell E3, from the zone marked in cell G3, and the setter call was in cell F3.
=VSPER(VSAND(VSCELL("(1)A#;*Z1",$A$12),VSCELL("(1)E(2)(3);B-0",$G$3,$H$3,$I$3),VSOR("*R#;B-0","*R+;B-0")))
This formula gives the percentage of kills after the positive reception of the player from cell A12, in rotation 1, while the ball was set by the setter from cell G3, from the zone marked in cell I3, the setter call was in cell H3.
=VSPER(VSAND(VSCELL("(1)A=;*Z3",$A$10),VSCELL("(1)E(2)(3);B-0",$G$3,$H$3,$I$3),"*R!;B-0"))
This formula gives the percentage of attack errors after the neutral reception of the player from cell A10, in rotation 3, while the ball was set by the setter from cell G3, from the zone marked in cell I3, the setter call was in cell H3.
=VSPER(VSAND(VSCELL("(1)A/;*Z2",$A$12),VSCELL("(1)E(2)(3);B-0",$G$3,$H$3,$I$3),"*R-;B-0"))
This formula gives the percentage of blocked attacks after the negative reception of the player from cell A12, in rotation 2, while the ball was set by the setter from cell G3, from the zone marked in cell I3, the setter call was in cell H3.
=VSCOUNT(VSAND(VSCELL("(1)A;*Z2",$A$16),VSCELL("(1)E(2)(3);B-0",$G$3,$H$3,$I$3),"*R;B-0;NOT"))
This formula counts the number of attempts in the player's transition from cell A16, in rotation 2, while the ball was set by the setter from cell G3, from the zone marked in cell I3, the setter call was in cell H3.
